These things are toys for people who have an extra few bucks. I invested $379 and think I got my money worth. (or moneys worth) however one spells that. haha

They are very nice.

Remember those are seen for the 2.5" SSDs. Just imagine what you would see for the 3.5" models!

I would love to see 3.5" SSDs. Imagine all the chips they could fit in there. Mmmmmmmm.

Also, anyone with a Patriot (torqx) SSD. I posted on their forums asking when they plan to release software to support TRIM. This is what they posted back.

"Hello Nate42nd,

Yes our Torqx does support TRIM, we are in the process of finalizing the software and should be implementing it for our end-users within 2 weeks."

It sound like we may be getting some firmware pretty soon.

At least you are seeing firmware support available. Initially some were reporting problems with certain models. But then is seen when anything first comes out.

Eventually you'll see 3.5" models. You can only go so far with the present ATA 100/133/150 standards seen for internal drives there.

You are right. Not toys but important necessities. Everyone needs an SSD for their valuable time. Good heck these things are great. Even if it slows down a bit....if it lasts 5-6 years I will be HAPPY to have paid $378 for mine. I hope it lasts longer. The best upgrade I have ever done. now I have decided to get a Q9650 and GTX 285. We'll see if it still remains the best upgrade after those. haha

Oh nooooo......! I'll to bring that large NY mug someone gave me along with packing a thermos I guess!
(other nickname around here is Mr. Coffee. "you drink that stuff black?" is one thing heard often!)

Well that would be after any 3.5" SSDs come out since the price on one would probably leave me broke!
