    Removable Storage Problems

Hey guys, I'm having a bit of a problem here which is driving me INSANE.

All of my Removable Storage Devices (Flash drives, External HDD) do not work with my Windows 7. When I connect them, I hear the beeps but the device sometimes show up, sometimes not and sometimes they appear after a long interval. On accessing them, Windows tell me that I need to format the drive. Well, I can't do that.

Any ideas? It's happening with all of my removable devices, not just one. They work fine with my laptop which is Windows 7 too, so I guess it's my computer's problem? Any fix? Halp?

    Hi,

How long has your PC been doing this?
Did these drives work on there in the past?

    Thanks for replying!

Erm, I've no idea how it all started. Maybe a month or something. Yes, they worked without any trouble but now they don't. (still working on other systems though)

Other people around here may have other suggestions but personally i would start by doing a couple of scans:

SUPERAntiSpyware.com | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!

    and

    Malwarebytes

See if they clear much up and test after that.
    Hope this helps.

Okay so you want me to run both of them or just one?

EDIT: Should I run the tests with the devices attached?
