    Printing Issue

    Hello.

I run a HP Officejet printer via a network and an Epson TM-T81 receipt printer via parallel cable on my POS system.

After logging off one night and logging back in the next day I can no longer print to any printer, the jobs just stay queued in the printer job list.

This a problem anyone has come across before?

    Thanks,
    Taz.

I have noticed in device manager that the PCI Simple Communications Controller has this 'error'
"The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.

To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver"

Don't know if this is related or not as the information I have found relating to that points me towards the Ethernet port, with is working perfectly.

I do not have another cable to test if it is that but my Epson is printing its settings list perfectly so I am assuming it is either

1.) The cable (which is brad new 1 month ago, 5m)
2.) Hardware fault in printer relation to the communication
3.) Hardware fault in the PC

Because I have a POS system that is a little temperamental and the store is open 7 days I would rater not re-install windows to confirm (the install is only a month old anyway) so are there any other tricks people know of to help me pinpoint the problem?

    Cheers,
    Taz

Trying it on another machine and not having much luck but that one is running XP and has never had anything connected via parallel, so probably not the most conclusive result.

I need some technical assistance to eliminate an error that keeps me from reinstalling my 6500 e 709n all in one printer that is knocked offline,in this particular situation the error is 0x0000007a that keeps showing up when I try to reinstall this printer it is wireless and I need to find out what I can do to resolve this issue, the customer service from HP are idiot's and have no common sense when dealing with, reading your past cases so the problem can be resolved professionally,so being that I had a problem in the past with HP files corrupting my Windows 7 computers 3 of them, I used the feature that Windows 7 has to use the Printer Wizard to put the drivers into my wife's computer but with this error it is stopping me from putting the printer online.I would appreciate if somebody that works hand in hand with Microsoft will assist me with this dillemma to get this done right. Being that this is my wife's computer and forum request Im not sure if she set this website up so you can contact her about this problem or issue so heres my E-Mail address instead: andrawise@yahoo.com or belindajane@eaglecom.net you guys rock that have helped me under the forum name Manbreed AW,And it is a great to learn from thouse individuals and thank's again, Manbreed AW........
