    Keyboard - Key not working?

So, I have always used the Vizio electronic cleaning foam stuff on my laptop, but since I just used it yesterday, my apostrophe/quotation mark key (to the left of the Enter key) does not work. I popped the key off to look at it, and there was nothing unusual underneath. I am not sure if the key simply stopped working and the timing is pure coincidence, or if it is a result of something I did?

This bothers me, as I cannot type conjunctions anymore. Granted, it makes me type a little more intelligebly (I think, lol) but I really would like to get it working again, if possible.

If I under stand this right, you spray this foam stuff on your keyboard, the keys them selfs? I've heard of cleaning solutions for the screens of laptops and LCD TV's but never for a keyboard. I only use compressed air to clean in between the keys and behind the keyboard and a lightly damp cloth (warm water) to physically wipe down keyboard. Anything other than that your risk killing your keyboard.

    Dear kbronski,
You "may" be right there, when you said sort of "coincidence"

There is a method you can adopt here:

    1. Tapping in turn these keys: Capslock Capslock-again left-shift left-alt left-ctrl right-shift right-alt right-ctrl then the key giving trouble.
    2. If that does not work, try shut down, power off and restart.
    3. Otherwise you "may" be looking at a new keyboard and the method of cleaning in the first reply---->(my point)

Thank you. Hopefully I don't need a new keyboard. It's not my Dell, but my secondary laptop, a Toshiba Satellite.
