I called AMD the other day asking about the new CPU I picked out and I asked about the cooler I have now and they said it's the stock one that would go on the Athlon X2 6000+ series CPU's and only cost $14.95US to replace and has up to 30,000 hour or 5 years rated fan on the heat sink. I asked the shop if they can get just the fan and 2 shops around here can't but one said use it till it dies then replace it. The only bad thing about that is alot of the times I leave my computer on when I go out. Is there any big risks on using this one till it dies?

For cleaning, I use isopropyl alcohol for cleaning old paste, and compressed air for dust collection, if the cooler is installed in the case, but outside of the case, I have found it expedient to use a vacuum cleaner along with a soft paint brush to break loose the more stubborn dirt.
