    HP Pavillion a1000n Desktop PC video problems


    I just installed win xp pro 32bit on a pavillion a1000n desktop pc, and now the display isn't working correctly. The color resolution won't go higher than 4bit? and I can't adjust display more than 620 x 480. For some reason the video driver isn't working.

    Is it an internal graphics chip or a card?
    I have a card labelled nothing but 'Elephant'. I plugged it in with XP and it had exactly the same visual issue as you seem to be having.

Anyone here have any HP notebook or let alone any notebook at all that when you go to put it to sleep if hangs for a while then goes to sleep but comes back out? any known fixes?
So I just installed windows 7 recently on my sisters HP pavillion dv5000 There are a number of problems. First the keyboard is wack. After I type a few words it'll jump to a middle of a sentence before or 2 words before and start from there as I type. like I'll write hey how are you and it goes...

Hey everyone, i got some video problems, since i installed win 7 (today ;p) Here a screenshot: http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/2803/26731050.th.jpg Also, some videos simply dont play, i just hear the sound and see a black screen. I already tried to install the shark codecs, didnt work......
