    lost storage drive

I did a windows update when the computer rebooted my 750 gig storage drive (F) is no longer there. I tried to do a system restore it cannot restore. I rebooted entered the bios no F drive. I'm at a loss what to do next does anyone have an idea?

How is the drive connected to your system?

Is this an external or internal drive? Was chipset or SATA driver updated?

    Please check for that.

Check disk management to see if the drive is showing there or not. Click the Start Orb and type diskmgmt and hit enter.

If it's not there, start with the easy stuff first, like opening the case and unplugging and plugging back in the cables to the drive. If a cable is failing, the drive will disappear and re-appear somewhat randomly after reboots.

Have you opened the case and unpluged and replugged in both ends of the sata power and data cables like FliGi7 suggested?

System Restore to before the Updates were installed.

Look in Windows Updates>Installed Updates to see what exactly was installed. Drivers?
