    Which Mother Board is better?

I have a Compaq Presario CQ5210f with a M2N68-LA (Narra6) motherboard and I also have a old Compaq Presario SR1010NX with a MS-6577 (Giovani, Giovani2) mother board and it seems like the second mother board is better than the first. I would like to know which one is better because I have both computer towers but only use the CQ5210f. I am planning on putting in a new graphics card soon and I cant afford a whole new computer or motherboard right now so I have to pick between these to.

No contest the second one. The first is an ancient (in computer terms) Pentium 4/DDR/AGP based board, whereas the first is a much more recent AMD AM3/DDR3/PCI-E board that the Compaq bios allowing can up to probably the Phenom II x4 965, which will eat that old P4 for breakfast (would eat for lunch and dinner too).

I vote for #2 also. It has a PCIex16 slot & a PCIex1 slot and will hold more ram. If I read it right #1recommends 512MB per slot, # 2 sates 2 GB per Dimm. Not to speak of the CPU #2 can handle, like Stormy13 explained. Again if I read it correctly, #1 only supports IDE, #2 has 4 Sata connectors.
