I have a peculiar problem with my laptop, The battery indicator shows, "Plugged in, Not Charging" even though the power supply is there and the percentage remains at a particular level. Please help me in this regard.

Hello ankur, welcome to the forum.
Try resetting your battery: How to Reset a Laptop Battery | eHow.com
Should this not work it is a good sign that the battery is almost at the end of its life

Note that this may also be configurable in the BIOS - some laptops (especially newer models in the last few years) are configured to not recharge the battery if you haven't discharged it after plugging the machine in <n> times. This is why you need to run your battery down to less than 50% and see if it starts recharging again - simply plugging in your laptop all the time is actually detrimental to battery life/health.

I want to add one more thing that my laptop is just 10 months old, I just checked the BIOS Setup, BIOS Version and EC version are different. I think they need to be same. Can someone clarify me on this? I used all the solutions on the Google regarding this problem but the problem still persists. It again shows this notification after charging to 99%.
