In bios i set in IDE and i installed now again the windows in IDE mode.

I want to use ANCI mode for better speed but ANCI gave me BSOD so iv done everything from the begining in IDE mode.

Sorry for asking again,but in my last hdtune\read\benchmarks screenshots isnt the IDE faster??

You are in IDE mode, the alignment is OK, you have the most current firmware. You installed in AHCI mode, is that correct? when you installed, you had to do several restarts. Did it restart OK. Was the SSD the only drive connected during the install? Did you change the Boot order in bios listing CD/DVD as 1st boot device and SSD as 2nd boot device. If you were rebooting last night OK, what did you do just before it started BSODing?

Also, you uploaded 2 screenshots of HDtune. I can't tell which one is IDE and which is AHCI, but the one on the right seems to run faster. Although either one is 10 times faster than a mechanical hard drive.

I unplug everything else, i set in bios IDE mode, restart, press f12, boot from cd ,install win7, shutdown, connect 1 hard disk ,shutdown, connect the other hard disk, install ati catalyst, restart ,run WEI, restart, run hdtune.

Then what you are saying is that you installed in IDE mode?

Not originally Essenbe.

First install was AHCI then he got the BSOD's.
That is what we- pparks, myself and others helped him set up his bios for yesterday.

Panais on his own did a second install in IDE with no BSOD's. I'm not sure how many he has done in IDE.

I'm at a loss. I'm not familiar with the moboard or the Vertex-2.

I was giving general install info from BFK and WHS.

Mike, if he installed in IDE mode, he cannot change to AHCI without the registry hacks to force windows to download the ahci drivers.

I cannot use ANCI because it give me BSOD.

Please guys help,advice,i cant find any solution.
