    That's great news. Good job on getting the drives to be seen and not having to do a clean install of Windows ! Make sure you review all you devices for the proper drivers. Loading any provided drivers for the mobo and all !

    Cool thats great man.

    I agree it is always better not to have to do a os install. w7 install is pretty fast- but still takes time to install other programs and tweak the system what ever. I do it when I have to or every 2 years or so.

    Ha ha next time you will know to double check cables and stuff and maybe not have any probs at all..

    In most cases WIn7 will not start up on new hardware due to conflicts arising during driver reloading at startup. It freezes at the animation. The solution is to SysPrep the HD first on the old hardware, or boot Paragon Adaptive Restore CD and run on the new HD before booting it. Both remove all drivers, activation and hardware ID which enables it to start at the final stage of installation where drivers are installed.
