The cpu you picked is LGA 1366 and the board is 1155; two completely different sockets.

How about this board, which is rated better than the Biostar: Newegg.com - ASRock P67 PRO3 SE LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
    And this cpu, which is also better: Newegg.com - Intel Core i7-2600 Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I72600

As for the RAM, after you select a motherboard, go to their website and download their QVL (qualified vendor list) pdf. It will tell you all the kits of RAM that are known to work well with the board. Never buy RAM cause they have shimmery heatsinks or because the name sounds good.

Seagate makes good drives. This would be great as a secondary game app drive... so what about an SSD to really make the rig fast?
