    Factory Image

I just did a clean install of windows 7 and it carried the factory image over, it's now D. How do I get rid of this partition? This is an Hp computer if that helps and the d partition is Vista.

Are you are absolutely certain you don't want it ? You may want to restore the previous o/s for a number of reasons - not least if you want to sell the machine.

    If not, delete the partition.

I made the back up disk and from what I understand you just can't right click and delete, there is no recovery manager to delete it with.

If you don't have a partition manager

    use commands

    diskpart

    sel vol d

    del par override

I watched a video of disk management and it showed how to delete a partition and it worked, it's gone and is now free space. Thank You for your responses.
