My Lenovo Thinkpad SL510 laptop won't turn on

Hi! Yesterday, my Thinkpad computer wouldn't turn on any more. Not even the power button lights up, when I push the power button. I looked through the Lenovo advice I found online on the subject, but it didn't help. I have no Novo button. And couldn't find a single hole (I already poked in any holes I could see, as that was one suggested method to try I heard online) or button that could be a reset button. I took turns pushing all the f keys one by one while holding down the power button at the same time. I've plugged it into a number of outlets, but it does 't help. And it's perfectly well plugged in - all parts of the cord and into the outlet. I was planning to take it to computer repair place today, but it's closed throughout the weekend, and it is Saturday AM now. So I thought I'd ask you if you have any suggestions to try throughout this weekend. I wasn't able to take a picture of my Lenovo Thinkpad computer - topside and backside, etc., as my camera needed recharging, this morning.

I have seen this problem on a friends computer.
His battery was old, not holding charge and it damaged the internal power supply.
