Start-up Problem

    With Dell if you boot into the one time boot menu, you usually find an option to boot into diagnostics. At least that's the way my dell works. Also, if you open the case and look at the drive it will usually list the manuf. My dell has a western digital Hard drive.

    mine is probability that as well then do u know why my pc is on the start-up repair loop i had a power cut when i was using my pc but ive have power cuts before and i worked fine after but this one it just started the loop i was on youtube at the time when i had the power cut it so i dont know what happened u can guess and what when wrong if u like

    Press F12 at boot.

    Hi, am sorry if this is not the right place to post this but am new here. My problem is that my laptop can not recorgnise its own battery. The previous window 7 I used was not geniu so I installed a geniu one. but for a month now I havent used my battery because I thought it will help conserve the life since my laptop is always pluged in. But after I installed my new window 7 and inserted my battery, there is this causion message. my laptop can only function properly only if it is pluged in with out the battery installed. Please I need to know what to do because my laptop is new. And I can not afford to buy a new sony vaio computer.

    theog i dont get many power cuts that was the 3 in 1 year do u think that what start the loop of start up repair

    yer unlucky i have given it to my local pc repair man to have a look at if he cant fix it he will not change me £££
