    new mobo advice


    hi all
    the prob i had is in this thread lost use of all usb's

    my question is will this mobo run all my hardware as its all new from the 5monthold new build

    this is my hardware
    ezcool ps1000 psu
    amd athlon2 640 x4 3.0ghz
    corsair xms3 8GB 2x4GB ddr3
    xfx radeon hd6850 dual fan 1GB ddr5
    x-fi extreme music
    win7 x64

    any help is much apreciated folks thanks in advance

    That one would be just fine.

    If you don't mind a micro ATX board (same size as your current one), I would look at something like this one,

    Gigabyte GA-870A-USB3 AMD 870 Socket AM3+ 7.1 Channel.. | Ebuyer.com

    One thing this one has over the one you linked too, it is AM3+ ready (black socket instead of white). Makes it easy after they come out in the next month or so if you're so inclined to upgrade to the new Bulldozer CPU's. That isn't to say the one you linked won't be the same as Gigabyte has that one updated as well,

    GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket AM3+ - GA-880GA-UD3H (rev. 3.1)

    as well as quite a few others,

    GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket AM3+

    just a matter of them showing up in the stores. If you want to go with the one you linked to I would contact ebuyer and see if it is the newer version of the board or still the AM3 version.

    looking at them now. 4got to say my case is a coolermaster elite 335. if the others r any more expensive then i wont b able to buy as ive just managed to scrape the cash 4 that 1 lol. did u check the link to my previous thread? if so i am right in thinking that the board is knackered arent i? i still needit upgradin either way ive known that since the day i got it lol

    just to let u know that the board i linked to got delivered today and was infact rev 3.1, so im well happy. its a shed load better than the 1 im using at the min just gotta get it in now
