    !IDT making me crazy..HElp !!!!

    Hi all,
I recently purchased a HP Pavilion g6 notebook ......it had dos installed on it .....I installed windows 7 ...downloaded the drivers from hp and was happy...until i found out theres a major problem with the IDT HD audio codec driver....when I play videos on youtube etc...the PC gets hanged and distorted voices start coming out of the speakers...a few times BSOD also came ... I finally narrowed down the problem to IDT...when i uninstall the drivers everything works fine but the voice is very low......and when i install it .........well u know by now what happens...i googled this but found no such solution ...is there an alternative to IDT drivers.....I did find out people who were runing vista did not have this problem but when they upgraded to windows 7 they started getting this problem...but i don't want to downgrade to vista neither do i want my notebook without HD audio drivers because the audio isn't good without them ...please help.

I am on HP 5310M. IDT audio, 64 bit. Never in my days of Windows 7 come across this problem. IDT should be fine, I look at it that when you say only via youtube you have this problem.

Will you consider if I say your Codec installed might be the problem?

Different drivers do have different capability built in to handle decoding audios, may I suggest you try looking into this area?

Cheers and the above is absolutely IMO only.
