Its good unless something shorts That gives you 900W 12V total
Isn't that a lot like saying, "sure, your house is a great investment... unless the earth opens up and swallows it". Why the suggestion it will short?
It was a jest man. I guess I need more smiley faces for ya

Probably because he forgot to consult you? The better question: why rain on his parade?

I figured that. Not for me though... I didn't want you to put the fear of god in the OP.

Because its a random brand that has little backing or support. Why trust your PSU to this sort of brand instead of a reputable solid brand who has been building PSU's for decades??

I agree with you 100%. Nothing you've said is incorrect in any way shape or form... it's just that it's too late to do anything about it. He already owns it, so why bother criticizing it? The only thing accomplished is making some guy feel bad about his hardware.

thanks everybody for you input.

- hardware, it was a mistake to buy unknown but i liked the reviews and comments ive read around the web and thought it'd be the next step from what i had.

i have one last question.

what does this mean?

CPU 1.323v
CPU/NB 1.158v
cpu/vdda 2.527v
dram 1.574v
HT 1.217v
NB 1.118v
SB 1.111v
3.3V 3.312v
5V 5.059v
12V 12.158v

is 12v the limit and 12.158 means im exceeding the limit resulting in the psu degrading sooner rather than later?

Fumz, I think your intentions are good, but really I don't think we need thread police here telling us how we should post.

No, the ATX spec has a range of acceptable voltage for the 12V and it is between 11.4 and 12.6V. Plus, what is measuring the 12V may have some variation as well. You are fine.

Power Supply Issue

PCI/E Power Issue
Here's an interesting one that I think only Microsoft can fix (and I hope they do) I have my USB 3 external drive connected to a 2 port USB PCI-E card. Every time I "wake" the PC from sleep, I hear the sound of a USB device being disconnected and reconnected followed by the Auto Play options. This...

Power Off issue
Hi there. Trying to figure out a new motherboard ASUS M4A78LT-M with a 3-core Athlon CPU, running windows 7 64bit. I had never had this problem before on other PCs. When I press the power off button on the front, it automatically restarts the PC after a few seconds. The only way to keep it 'off' is...
