    Mouse lag

So i just bought the wireless Microsoft Explorer Mouse with BlueTrack technology, installed the hardware and charged it up. There is one problem though, I have terrible lag with the cursor whenever I move the mouse. The cursor moves smoothly for short periods of time but its usually VERY laggy, particularly when something is loading. I'm not sure what's causing this problem. I'm currently using my old wireless mouse until i get the Explorer mouse working. If anybody knows what could be causing this lag please tell me. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Here is a link to the mouse on Microsofts website:

Guess you tried the latest drivers? Software Downloads: Explorer Mouse
Could be a dud if those drivers aren't working.

Same problem. Sometimes there is no lag for awhile, but eventually it will lag. I have a feeling the receiver dongle is not of the best quality.

Could be a battery problem or the surface on which the mouse moves. Try a sheet of white paper or carton.

I had a problem like this and when I moved the trasmitter/receiver to a usb port on the front of my machine instead of the back, it cleared right up.

I had this same problem. I solved it by uninstalling the blue track mouse drivers from microsoft and letting windows install drivers automatically.
