    Printing problem

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64
    Office 2007
    IE 8
    HP 6200 USB connected printer
    HP 8500 network connected printer.

None of the following applies to the HP 8500. It prints fine.

When printing from the following application programs no images print. Just text.
    Word
    Outlook
    IE 8
    MS Paint
    MS Image Viewer

Printing from the following images print fine.
    Windows Explorer (function of OS)
    Firefox
    Firehand Ember (photo viewer)

I tried using System Restore and went back to May 9. Problem still exists.
But the problem did not actually exist on May 9.
HP site has no drivers. They say they are in Windows 7.
Is there something common to all MS apps that controls printing images?
    Ideas???

Welcome Marauder2003. Is the printer in question HP 6200 USB, locally connected? That is directly to the PC.
    Try a different USB port.
Unplug the printer, reboot and plug it back in.
Uninstall it and drivers in Device Manager.
Check printer setting to see how it is set to print, i.e., Background, etc.

Let us know if any of those steps work.

I will try that when I get a chance and I would agree if no images print. But at least 3 programs DO print images. Since images can be printed I don't think it is the printer, drivers or connection. It appears only MS apps don't print images.

IE9 has some options like that. Maybe the other apps do too?:)
