    RAM problem

I recently built a computer with the following parts:
    AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition Thuban 3.3GHz, 3.7GHz Turbo Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V v2.2 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply
    G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL
    ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 AM3 AMD 880G SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard
OCZ Vertex 2 OCZSSD2-2VTXE120G 2.5" 120GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive
Using Windows 7 64bit, everything went fine until 2 weeks later my computer would crash about 2 to 15 minutes after I log on. I read some info about the problem being with the RAM but I can't figure out how to fix the issue. I have ran Memtest86 without any error, and have switched around the RAM in different slots. I have also used the "Mem Ok" feature on the ASUS motherboard which seems to work until I startup my computer after 10 hrs + then I have to use the Mem Ok button on the motherboard.

    teepee,

Sounds more like an unruly piece of software is causing problems.

Let's do a couple of general measures:
Download and run the cleaner and registry portions of CCleaner ( link in my sig). Don't worry about the registry portion causing the devil to arise and strike your system down. He won't. Ccleaner also makes a backup of the registry unless you tell it not to.

Now that your system is cleaned up some, I want to use the tools part of CCleaner as given in following:

LIST OF STARTUP PROGRAMS USING CCLEANER

CCleaner | Tasks icon | Startup tab | click on Save to text file button (bottom right side)

Using the PAPER CLIP icon in the top panel of a Message Reply window, attach the .txt file generated by CCleaner.

    Hey Karl,
I ran CCleaner this morning before work and will do what you asked after I return home. I just wanted to make clear that I have Uniblue Registry Booster Installed, should I uninstall it or just, make sure it is not running in the background?

    I appreciate the help!

there are alot of reviews on the amd 1100t not fully supporting or working with 1600mhz ram out of the box. Note the out of box bit:)

it does support up to 2000mhz ram but it requires tweaking in the bios.

there are a few posts on the amd forum regarding support for 1600 mhz ram.

it may be that you need to adjust the timing and voltage manually.

100% remove Uniblue Registry Booster. I tried this product. I do not recommend the product. Now this one can definitely cause your miseries.

Will look at the startup.txt file and get back to you.

    uncheck everyting except for:
    BDAgent "C:\Program Files\BitDefender\BitDefender 2011\bdagent.exe"

    By uncheck, I mean:
WIN | type MSCONFIG | STARTUP tab | uncheck all you see there except for the BDAgent. | APPLY button | OK button and restart your computer.

Don't worry. You haven't deleted anything. You've just told Win 7 not to run the programs at startup time.

    Hey,
I did everything as instructed with the startup and CCleaner. I also looked into manually setting up the RAM timings and everything worked! But I started up my computer this afternoon and boom! it happened again. I checked the Event View and found this: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000050 (0xfffff8200168e0f8, 0x0000000000000001, 0xfffff80003210617, 0x0000000000000005). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 062011-14913-01.

    Good.

Now you have some meat for the the blue screen lads in the bsod/crash forum here.

For a little self-investigation, then you might want to consider taking a look at Blue screen of death (STOP error) information in dump files. which is free.

Also here's a link that may be of interest:
