I still reckon the problem lies with your chipset/motherboard.
Check this Windows Logo'd Products List to see if your hardware is compatible with Windows 7. You'll have to drill down into the different categories, but it should help you decide where you go from here.

I dont really see what that website is for.
It is similar to Vista's hardware compatibility list and will tell you what will work with Windows 7 and what won't.
I can't do all the work for you, you have to make the effort too.
The link was provided so that you could do a search on it and see whether your motherboard is compatible with Windows 7.
It has links on the page that you can use to get more information.
