    CyberPower UPS Software Question

I just bought one of these:

Intelligent LCD Series - CP1350AVRLCD | CyberPower Systems, Inc.

Win 7 immediately identified it and automatically configured the battery runtime options. Is it advantageous in any way to install and use the CyberPower software instead? I prefer to let hardware stuff like this be handled directly by the OS unless there is a good reason not to. I've never had a UPS before so this is a new one for me.

    Thanks! :)

The only advice I can give on this is; try it this way for a couple of weeks and jot down some notes on it's behavior and how it's doing. Then run the software for a couple of weeks and take some notes exactly as you did before and then compare.
