    Windows Boot Problem

    Hey all,

Just to start with This is not about the PC in my Specs

    Right to business..

I've been having a problem with a Pc i built a couple months back, it has now stopped booting properly.

I can Boot into Ubuntu Live Cd But that doesn't Help the issue.

The only common Factor is that it sits on the 2nd Post screen and will not advance or change.

It has 1.5Gb DDR2 Memory which is all fine (Tested in my machine)
It has a 160 GB HDD (SATA)
Old Celeron 3.33GHz Cpu (Cant Remember the Model)
And its a MSI 7274 MOtherboard..

    Any help is appreciated.
(I will put up a Photo in a Little Bit)

This is where it gets stuck and does nothing more...

I left this to run for a Day in the hopes it would fix it but nothing happened.

    Try clearing your BIOS.
Clear CMOS - 3 Ways To Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS
    Than
Unplug all parts, & refit one at time with a reboot each time.

This link lists all the different beep codes and what they mean.

    Computer POST and beep codes

One thing I did notice was that your power supply fan was noisy - have you checked to see whether it's loose or wants a drop of oil?

Erm yeah the Fan might Have been one of two things, I have a second PC on the left just out of shot with 3 fans whiring at once, Other then that it might need oil but its only 1.5 years old

And those beep codes didnt really do much to help...

But thanks for the Link ill save it for later Times

The Problem Remains that it still Hangs, COuld it Be A HDD issue?

    1) Your MOBO is finding two cable plugged in, but only one cable plugged to a drive.

    2) Start over with the above.
