I agree with Alan. Front intake will cool the hard drives, Top exhaust(hot air rises) Rear exhaust. If you can Push/pull CPU cooler fans toward the top, the hot air will be taken out of the case by the top exhaust fan. Rule of thumb is keep air moving in one direction, in at the front, out at the rear.

The pictures look real good. They'll look better once in the case.

@pparks1.. I hope I didn't give offense. It wasn't my intention. Performance wise, I think AMD will always be behind Intel. That being said, I'm expecting/hoping that BD at least equals an i7-990x for less than half the price. That's the point I was trying to make and from reading your last post, it seems we're on the same page.

@
essenbe..hot air does indeed rise unless there are fans forcing it somewhere else. If the CPU cooler is positioned so that the flow is directed towards the rear of the case, then the OP should try the top fan in both orientations and see what works best for him. In my case, setting the top as intake decreased temps by ~2c.

@Tweek: No offense taken. AMD isn't always behind in performance, back in the Pentium 4 days, the AMD Athlon 64 X2's were the chips to beat. I'm hoping the Bulldozer will be an awesome chip...I just hope it doesn't arrive on scene with performance in around the Core i7-2600k arena...because if it does, being the same price, wouldn't be anything fabulous. Hopefully it's much closer to the 990X or better (we can always hope).

I haven't seen that exact chart, but have seen other charts that agree with yours. So, the question is whether to buy the first one or wait for the later one.

Here is a leaked test on a Bulldozer engineering sample. Suppose to be B1 stepping and I have heard the released products will be a B2 stepping. Second link is to a forum with comparison to I7-980x. From what I can see they are real close.
