    Atheros AR9285

I am very new to this.. So I am going to explain the best I can and maybe someone can help me. I have a new laptop, and I filled out my specs with this forum, I have Windows 7 HP*64 bit and I also have home wireless 6.0. I have a clearwire modem running off of a Lynksys wireless modem. This morning I woke up and my computer was saying that it could not find ANY wireless connections. That is weird because I am aware that my neighbors have wifi but they are all secured. Also when I hit troubleshooting, it gives me a message saying "Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter is experiencing driver- or hardware related problems" also "Atheros AR8131 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller is experiencing problems". I have absolutly NO IDEA what any of this means. The only way I am able to access the internet at this time is by hardwireing my computer directly to the Clearwire modem using an ethernet cord. Can someone help me?

Hmmm.... I came across this post while researching your issue - Atheros AR9285 and Windows 7 not compatible - Microsoft Answers

You might visit the laptop's manufacture and see if they have (updated) drivers for your wireless Card. I assume this is the site? - Lenovo - Laptops

I'll just take a "did you get it fixed or not" answer? :)

However after doing research I come to a conclusion that the card just needs to be replaced is this possable and how do I do this? is this a common thing with this brand and card

jimlin have a look at this post here and see if you can update your driver,

WIFI only connects after running troubleshooter....

download and save the driver , create a new folder and unzip it there then run the set up exe
