Why Has SSD performance dowgraded in WEI by .1

Hi just a general question because im not to familliar with SSD my first expeirence with them

When ,I first installed my SSD i got a WEI of 7.4 it has since then Downgraded to 7.3

is there something that could have gone wrong or maybe something i didn't do correctly , i mean you know i would think it was a brand new device and shouldnt down grade so fast i mean it is just a WEI score but i simply got it to improve performance not for a fancy score

what do you guys think ?

this is my winsat score and my WEI

Hello Solarstarshines, I really wouldn't worry about WEI or .1 either way. It only matters that it works well for you. As long as you are in ahci mode and the SSD is properly aligned you should have trim and it will take care of itself. I would caution you about running too many tests as they can slow down an SSD. You may want to go to Corsair forums and read about your SSD. They will know more about that specific model.

lol yeah I think it is odd my SSD went down but i still have a hell of a rig i am just getting the best out of what i paid for pretty much

One more thing is there a way to improve it without doing anything major?

On another note they released a thread on the new 7000 gpu's which might be interesting

    Accuracy

I would question that any of this crap had a .1 accuracy.

you know something this WEI is rubbish there is another member that has the best of the best and still no 7.9

I think we need to tell MS to blow this WEI business off /this is not giving us real Benches like other programs do or atleast a better rating system

Our HTPC I7 Sandy with Crucial SATA 3 does 7.9. My older I7 x58 with Mushkin Sata 2 does 7.8. I expect the numbers to slip with age. My Raptors with RAID 0 did 6.3 when new then slipped to 6.1. I think you need to get your feel good number when all is fresh and keep the memory cause things are going to sag with age........

WEI is not and was never intended to be a performance test. It was designed to simply give a general idea of how well the computer operates. It is nothing more than a general idea. If my graphics card rates 6.5 and I update the card and get a 7.6, then I more than likely have a better graphics card. That's all it is.

This is the only way I know to make a .1 difference. Without cheating that is lol

It is only a worthless WEI score but like everything else I think we all want to have the best possible :)

PS just refreshing your WEI will most likely not be enough to show the change
