hmm, I'm gonna retest without write cahcing on myself. My lowest score (5.9) is my hd now
    HD 150G|WD 10K 16M SATA WD1500ADFD - OEM

that's a wd raptor 10,000 rpm, 16mb cache, 1.5 g/bit sata drive. Not the new 2.5 with heatsinks, but still, I thought it was supposed to be fast eh? Before I installed win764 pro I had vista 32 home basic and my gpu (nvidia 8600gts was the low point which is now 6.5 (i think it was 5.6 or lower on vista).

eh, so much for that, still at 5.9. Only have 11 gigs free (the primary partition is 50 gigs, OS only). Would the score be low based on space available? I thought it was a speed test.

Doing a little reading I found out that it is only 1.5 g/bit, not 3.0, but everything I read said it didn't matter anyway as that's only short burst from sdram and most desktops will never see the full 1.5 anyway.

    My score...

Here's mine with a run-down of my specs as well. I've never understood why it was so low, and I've got caching turned on already.

    Windows7 x64 Ultimate
    Asus P6T Motherboard
    Intel i7 920 @ 2.67 GHz
12 GB of Corsair RAM @ 1600 MHz (Dominator)
Areca 1210 RAID Controller - PCIe
2 150GB WD Velociraptors in RAID0-Striped (OS... the new 10k 2.5s with heatsinks)
2 320GB Seagate 7200.11 in RAID0 on on-board Intel RAID (Data, My Docs, etc...)
    GTX295 nVidia Video
CPU and GPU are water-cooled, but nothing is currently OC'd.
