    There is no reason to run them on the 6-Gbit SATA revision 3 ports since those drives are both 3-Gbit SATA revision 2 drives.

    TVeblen is right. There is no mechanical hard drive that can run 3GB/s much less 6GB/s. They are not capable of running that fast. Only some SSD drives can do that.
