Plus it is the newer technology i run a AM3+ board and im satisfied
while we are on the topic of new motherboards, would a dual processor mother board require parrody in the processor, meaning, would i have to do 2 quad core 3.4s or could i do a amd phenom 2 x6 3.3, and a phenom 2 x4 3.4???

if you wanted a dual cpu layout board i belive they have to be the same speed and chip

I wouldn't think other wise cause different chips would make it behave pretty bad or not get it working at all

Im sure there are members here with dual cpu 's they would be the best to ask on this i found some info on this not sure if i can post it from a hardware forum but here you go http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/25...l-motherboards good luck !

do you think a dual chip motherboard would be beneficial to 3d design and intense gaming?also, dont know if there would be any problems, but would the size of my graphix card maybe not fit also? i have an amd 6970 and dont know if the layout of a standard am3 dual cpu would work

I'm not sure of this, but I believe that a dual socket MB would require Opteron versions of the CPU - regular desktop CPUs would not work.

Also, you'd need Win7 Pro or Ultimate. Home Premium supports only a single physical socket.
