    Cannot burn discs

On every program i have tried using my laptop will go through the disc burning process and say that is has successfully finished but when i load the disc it is still blank.

The programs i have tried are imgburn, power iso, nero and windows's disc burning system.

What type of media are you burning? Music, video, data? Also what model of laptop are you using? If you tried all of those programs and nothing worked, it could be a hardware issue, like a dirty lens. But that's sort of unlikely given that it's stating "successfully finished".

Try this app, it's the simplest coding I know of for a burning program. (only 4mb)
CDBurnerXP: Free CD and DVD burning software

If it doesn't work we may want to look at the possibility your burning services are killed in windows.

Do you by chance have an external burner or know someone who will let you use one; trying burning with it and if it works then you most likely have a Drive that the laser is out of calibration or failing.
