Windows 7: HP LaserJet P1006

Windows 7 RC 1 and XP SP 3
HP LaserJet P1006

Hey guys, I'm hoping for some help here. I've downloaded and re-downloaded the HP LaserJet P1006 Vista x64 drivers. I've extracted the drivers and manually pointed the Driver Update Wizard to these drivers. However, every time I try to install them I get the following error:
Windows found the driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it.

If I then try and add another printer using the driver I get (and it's absolutely stupid I don't get this specific error when actually trying to install the driver through device manager instead of the generic crap it gives):
Print driver was not installed. Operation could not be completed (error 0x000000c1)

I've ran verifier.exe and that hasn't thrown back any errors after the reboot.

Someone please help me. I had that specific driver installed fine before. But I then had to format my PC and now I can't get it installed!

First suggestion...Try running System File Checker to ensure all of the core components of Windows are valid / uncorrupt.

Tutorial Here -
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

If that doesn't succeed, i'd either upgrade or fresh install a newer build than the RC...Build 7201 x64 is what I'm using and it's very stable. You can also find the RTM leak out there in the wild as well.

Windows 7 RC 1 and XP SP 3

SFC came back negative. Everything is fine there. How do I get a hold of build 7201? Would it still activate with my RC key?

If I can't get the 7201 build I'll look at getting the RTM build. I noticed there's already a hack to allow the RC key to activate it.
