Cant copy too external HDD?

Hi Folks

Been trying to copy MP3 files to my external HDD and they wont copy,strange thing is they copy to my pen drive?

Anybody any ideas

What was the error message? Could be related to file and folder permission.

Try taking ownership of your external hd, use shortcut below:
Add "Take Ownership" to Explorer Right-Click Menu in Win 7 or Vista - How-To Geek

Note do not change ownership of system or other folders if you don't know what you doing. It could seriously mess up your windows installation.

Thanks for that,Changed over too the usb port that the pen drive was working fine on.all seems well now!!

I recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit.I can plug an small pen drive and transfer from pen drive to computer and vice versa.But with WD mybook I can transfer to computer but not from computer to mybook.With Vista it worked perfectly.
