    Mouse Trouble

    Hello SevenForums!

Over the night I usually turn off my PSU, this morning, I turned it on, booted the pc normal, and the cursor wasn't moving on the desktop. The mouse itself, was lighten up, and ready to be used.
I plugged the USB in and out, and everything were back normal.

    Did I misunderstand something?

    Best Regards,

A few thoughts come to mind. First, have you tried cleaning both the mouse and the USB port?

The problem is likely the USB port or the mouse. If the problem persists, try the mouse on another computer to see if the problem recurs. If it does, you know for sure the problem is the mouse. (If it doesn't, it may be the port.)

How old is the mouse? Could it just be old and failing?

Also, what about the mouse driver? Is there a more recent version so that an update might solve the problem?

The mouse is about 1 year old. It's a Coolermaster Sentinel. The drivers are up-to-date. But I think i'll just leave it as it is, it's not a big deal.

    Thanks for your tips!
