    USB Flash Drive Problems

I was wondering if someone could help me out. I've been having trouble reformatting and erasing all the data of a USB flash drive so I can pass it on to my brother, but I think it might be corrupt. When I try to access the USB drive, it only shows the "U3 System" of the USB drive.

I'm wondering if there's a way to fix this, so the USB drive appears as a normal removable disk where you can add or remove files on it. Thanks in advance!

    Welcome to the forum,

See if this will help, it's a U3 removal tool.

Thanks for the welcome! But when I try to use the launchpad removal tool, the first thing that I get is a dialogue saying "This program only supports one U3 drive removal. Exit the program and unplug extra drive then try again". I tried to find the problem, but I can't figure it out because the only U3 device I have plugged in is the USB flash drive . Any tips?

The U3 uininstaller sometimes thinks all disk drives are U3. Try going into the device manager and disable memory card readers, then run the utility again and make sure you have admin privileges.

Thanks! The only thing that I was forgetting, was to run the tool as an administrator. After running it as an administrator the tool worked beautifully. Problem solved!
