    Laptop Suggestion

    Hi,
I am going to buy a new laptop...that can run windows7 smoothly without any hindrance in performance. I am not a gamer so that's not my priority just normal office use, some music but i need HD movie 1080p. So please help me by suggesting me some models..My range is $700-$800.
I am interested in Dell studio XPS 1647.

    Intel® Core™ i5-460M Processor (3M Cache, 2.53 GHz) 4 GB DDR 3 Ram, 500 GB (7200RPM) Hard Drive,
    8x slot-loading SuperDrive (DVD±R Dual Layer /DVD±RW/CD-RW)
    16" 1080p WUXGA (1920x1080) WLED
    HD TrueLife Display,
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730 1GB Dedicated Graphics,
Blue Tooth, Built In Camera 2.0MP, Backlit Keyboard,
Giga Bit Lan, Wi-Fi, HDMI Port, E-Sata Port, DVI Port, Fire Port, Memory Card Reader,
    Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium,
    1 Year Warranty.
    that's costing me $699.99/=

So is its a good choice. ?

Doesn't sound bad at all. Should do everything you need it too.

I'd consider upping the warranty, but that's more of an opinion. The laptop will do everything you want it to, and then some.

I agree with Seth and Deacon. It's a good choice.

Yeah, good choice. My machine is a Dell Inspiron 1545 (that I've had for about 21 months). I never regretted this one. Fine for software development and anything other than high-performance video stuff. For that I use my XPS 8300 system.
