Windows 7: Could it be that AMD and Intel are hiding stuff from us

Windows 7 (x64)

It's been my experience that it matters not which brand GPU you put on what brand chipset/proccy - Though results with individual products and driver versions may/dan/do vary. Having said that, I'll make a further observation that there are (perceived?) differences: Out of the box, nVidia tend to tune their cards for slightly higher frame rates, whereas ATI cards (in my personal experience with both) tend to weight picture quality a little more.

Correct me if I am wrong but ATI and Nvidia may make the GPUs but a number of manufacturers make the cards, no?

Would it serve Sapphire to make their ATI cards to only work well with AMD processor/MOBO systems.....?

P.S. My Sapphire HD4830 seems quite happy with my Q6600.

I have an AMD Phenom X4 9950 and a GeForce 9800GTX+. They work absolutely fine together. :)

Nvidia cards work great with AMD processors. I believe it's the best bang for your buck, as I've always found AMD to be more reliable and stable than Intel.

C:\ Hiding files?
Howdy. I noticed that if I save a file to my C:\, it sorta gets swallowed up. I was in SQLyog working on my MySQL server and did a table export. I saved it as "c:\table.sql". I flipped to my DOS window and did a DIR and didn't see it. Tried DIR /AH, no dice. DIR /AS, nope. Nada. Opened a...

Hiding that you use a VM
Hi guys, For College we use a laptop and we make our tests with a program called QMP (question mark perception). I used to use windows XP, but since I use W7 now, I can't use it anymore because the program only works with Vista and lower. I already knew that QMP can detect VM's, (except...
So this is where you're all hiding!
The Vista forums seemed to have quietened down lately, but now I've found where you've all been hiding. All dumped Vista for 7 already :p Edit: Also like how you've transferred all the system specs over from the Vista forum :)
