Show us your SSD performance

For those that get a generous Christmas allowance Newegg.com - OCZ Colossus LT Series OCZSSD2-1CLSLT1T 3.5" 1TB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

WHS, I was seriously considering that Colossus. However, Santa has just informed me, with a wide grin I might add, that I have not been nearly that good this year. He further said that I should not expect to see that under the tree, not this year or next.

You must have been reall bad.

WHS, I was told that it was not that I was really that bad, it was that I was just not quite that good. Go figure!

Perhaps this should be postrd in the Drivers forum. However, I thought the SSd forum may provide better results as this is about SSD performance.

I have a Vertex2 and an MSI 890GXM MB. I have just updated the chipset drivers for the 890 chipset. Under ATI/Atapi in device manager it used to read msahci device. Since the update (which was for AHCI) MSAHCI is no longer there, it now lists AMD Sata controller. and only lists two ports - I have 3 sata disks. All of the disks are listed under disk drives.

Should I leave as is or try to do a restore, or uninstal the driver and let windows reinstall it. Device manager does not allow me to roll back the driver. There seems to be little difference in performance with OCZ's Winsat test and As SSD test. The only big difference is the 16.0 write
EDIT: BTW, device manager also shows the OCZ running in DMA 4 mode now.

Here is one of those new OCZ Revo drives - amazing. Unfortunately it is not mine.

Those new OCZ Revo drives are amazing WHS. Here is my inferno about a month ago with Windows 7 already on the drive and Intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers. (9.6)

I just ordered two of these to Raid. I'll post my SSD score soon.
