Those new OCZ Revo drives are amazing WHS. Here is my inferno about a month ago with Windows 7 already on the drive and Intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers. (9.6)

That inferno is not so bad either. I have been reading up on the Revos. It looks like they are not yet ready for prime time. They apparently had a lot of problems with the microcode and were constantly fixing them. They also do not seem to run with all boards. So if anybody wants to buy one, you better get well informed ahead of time.

I agree. I am looking at a Crucial C300 now - I wonder whether that is any better. I have a Vertex 60GB and two Intel 80GB right now. Want to put the C300 - 120GB (or any other) into a laptop.

What about the 120GB intel. it's around $220 these days in the states...which makes it one of the less expensive drives over 80GB.

That is an option too. But the C300 is so blasting fast - it is tempting. I'll wait until it is on sale.

I don't have SATA 6 controllers on my board and I'm not as motivated by raw throughput on my OS drive. It's so rare to even load such a large file continuously on anything but a storage drive.

SOOO... I'm now running the 2 OCZ Vertex2 drives in RAID0 on a clean install... SOO much more responsive! Windows User Experience rated my Hard Drives a 7.9, everything else in my system is at a 6.8...

Still, seems to benchmark a bit slower than I thought it would... check the benchmark... Something doesn't seem right. The "4k" sequence seems way off and my write speeds in general are slower than others have posted in non-raid configs.

EDIT: I'm using the Intel Matrix drivers right now, but I've read that the Intel RTS drivers are better and still compatible with my hardware...

Hey guys... I noticed there are a lot of these SSD drives available out there, They have such a wide range of pricing. What does a person really choose. Crucial has the 64gig SATA 6Gb/s at a nice price... $134 bucks, Looks very tempting. Someone said we should wait for SLC technology not just MLC.. Whats you're guys take on that?
