The Mushkin looks really good. But something is not right with the vertex. Compare to one of my Vertex:
Mine is a 1st gen Vertex, you have the Vertex 2. 1st gen Vertex 60 GB is specd at 230 MB/s Read, 135 MB/s Write. The Vertex 2 90 GB is specd at 285 MB/s Read, 275 MB/s Write.
Understand. My first gen Vertex is not any better either.

How does this look for a Crucial RealSSD 64GB drive? It's on an SATA 3.0 controller, so it seems like I'm getting close to the advertised speeds.

You can see other AS SSD scores here:

    AS SSD Benchmark thread

There are quite a few C300 scores and other SSDs as well.

    Your chipset is P67 PCH?
Looks like you might be on a SATA2 port.

No, it's in a laptop with a G45 chipset. I have this drive in my Latitude E6400.

Been a while since I posted here.

First pic is the defunct Kingston SSDNow SNV425 RAID 0 (2 X 64GB)

Second pic is the 80 GB Vertex 2 I purchased last month.

    Ah, ok, looks good then.

    That's a SATA 3 Gbps chipset controller, SATA2.
