It seems to be working well on the Intel320 and Kingston/Intel X25.

I think Intels suggestion to run it once a week is like some of us do Disk Cleaner and Defragmenter. Run it once a week or with Defrag analyze it at least that often.
At some point if things get too bad it Auto Runs as the testers have found.
It won't bother me to do it myself once a week instead of defrag as I do now on the HD.
It will finish up faster than the Defrag analyzer does now let alone the actual defrag!

I'm just about ready to order. Waiting on the new Newegg email to check it for what else is on sale.

Good Job. Now you can be like the rest of us. Broke because of Newegg emails.

But it is quite amazing if you think about it. 24TB of writes to a 40GB drive. I think trim must work quite well.
That remeinds me that the university of Karlsruhe here in Germany is just now testing a new network based on laser. The transfer rate is 36TB/sec. That could wear out our good old SSDs in a jiffy.
That will out drag a chevrolet.
WHS, sorry about the statement. I know you are from Germany and probably have no idea what I said. Drag as in dragracing. It's old time southern slang meaning faster than h***.

Get the Intel toolbox. You can schedule it to automatically run whenever you want it to. It takes about 10 seconds to run.

They use the term up here in Mid- America and out West.

I'm not sure about those Yankees up in the northeast.

Yea, I don't know about them either. Anyone remember Brother Dave Gardner? I think he made the phrase.

    I hadn't seen that promo.

The only thing coming up on their site is the past weekends email. Monday email is late.

That will get it down to $200 even.

I am from Germany but I lived more than 15 years in the US. My wife is from NY and since 1997 we spend 6 months per year in our Florida home. So I think I can follow you. And I had a few dragsters myself - Two 455 Starfire Olds in the 60's.

PS: what really sucks in my book is that I cannot use the Intel toolbox on my two Gen1 80GBs - the toolbox does not support Gen1's
