I had an order coming from the L.A. warehouse via Tennessee to .....L.A.

It took 4 days, for a less than a 20 mile trip.

Nobody will ever figure out UPS logistics system. I had an order from Memphis (about a 6-8 hour drive from me) coming to FLA. From Memphis it went to N.J., then to Pennsylvania, to Jacksonville, fla then the 450 miles to me. Go figure the rationale for that.

Maybe the package was trying to milk the frequent flier miles.

You might be right. But, frequent flier miles are nice, but not very cost effective doing it that way.

I am sure you will like it. If you have any doubts about installation and OS transfer, have a peak at this: SSD - Install and Transfer the Operating System

Looks like you are ready to go. Do you have the Sata cable too?

WHS, do your laptops have dual HD bays? I can't find one other than a custom Clevo or Alienware (both the same). I really have no intention of paying $3000 for a laptop.

Cables are included with the Intel retail.
    OEM is just the drive.
It was $5 cheaper for retail with both cables/CD/mounting bracket so I went with the retail version.

Got all the extras and saved $5.
