Dave do you think he has an older IRSt and that is why the newer one won't install? Maybe uninstall the old one and try to install the new one. But If that dosent work, we'll both be in trouble.

Was thinking the same thing, and the trouble part.

His SSD is using the msachi driver, so may be it's in a different port, not intel port.

He might be able to install the
Intel(R) Matrix Storage Manager Driver V8.9.0.1023 driver from his mobo driver site.

Then install the intel RST 10.1.0.1008 driver.

    All six ports are Intel.

I'm removing the old Intel AHCI driver. Then will try the new one you provided earlier Dave.

When I downloaded the newer Intel you posted I think I clicked the old one to install.

So it is gone and only the new one you posted is on the system.

Going to try installing it now. Then we can go from there.

    Your mobo driver site lists
Marvell 9123/9120 Controller Driver V1.0.0.1042, are the marvell ports there also?

    What is your BIOS version?

What other HDDs are plugged into the Intel ports?
    CD/DVD drive?
One solution was to move the CD/DVD drive to a Marvell port, then the RST drivers installed.
    Still looking for more info.

A search is giving a lot of problems installing the Intel RST drivers on your board.
Will post when I find a solution.

Is your BIOS set to ACHI or RAID?
    Should be RAID.

If this is your mobo, it lists drivers for the Marvel controller, J Micron controller drivers and Intel Sata controller V8.9.0.1023 for Windows 32/64bit XP & Windows 32/64bit Vista & 32/64bit Windows 7.(WHQL)

Those seem to be old drivers. It lists NEC USB 3.0 drivers. NEC has been bought out by Renasus. They listed new drivers that are not on his download list.

Have read that Asus isn't very good at keeping drivers up to date.

A problem with Pioneer DVR-216D and Intel RST drivers. Can't install the RST drivers with this connected, and the DVD crashes windows if plugged in.

From some of the dates and drivers I saw, that seems to be true. But, any Intel driver for his chipset should work, shoudn't it?

    Marvell are 6.0

    JMicron are eSata.

There are 6 Intel's and it is plugged into an Intel socket as well as the HDD's.

The new driver Dave posted so far will not install. The 2010 I posted earlier and below or the original Intel from Asus is all that will install so far.
Will work on it later have to go now.
