so I did goods? LOL
Yes that one looks fine.
I'm still not sure what is going on with the Kingston though.
Odd readings but if it works okay then??????
Maybe a Snip/ picture of the Kingston also.
Might be helpful.
yea the kingston sucks big time, BUT my rig boots in less than 17 seconds! I might get another 120gb SSD drive for it I have a feeling it might be the other HD drive slowing it down, cuzz I know THAT effects the WEI scores when I dont disconnect it
Well I remember in the Wei post, they tell you to make sure u disconnect all other hard drives when doing the WEI test as the other HD impact the test in a negative way
Im not sure thats true.
The WEI should only test the drive Windows is on.
Mine always show the same whether its the SSD only, or if I have 3 spinners connected as well at the time of the test.
I could be mistaken, but have never noticed such behavior here anyway.
Disconnecting all other drives except the main SSD is a good idea for the initial Windows installation though. Although it may not always be needed, I still recommend a clean install to a new SSD this way.
well for a fact I know this to be true cuzz I did the test BEFORE my spin hard drive was connected and got 7.6 then when I connected the hard drive and re-did the test it dropped to 7.1...which is why I did the test in that manner cuzz the WEI thread said to do it that way...which I confirmed in my test
My WEI score is the same whether I connect only the SSD or whether I have 3TB of other mechanical hard drives connected along with the SSD.
It doesn't effect my results either. I've got the SSD and WD-500 on the SATAIII ports and a WD-750, for backup, on the SATAII port. I get a consistent 7.9 on WEI.
I suspect the problem may be driver or motherboard related.
