Print on both sides automatically on Windows 7

Hey guys! I hope I am posting this in a correct section?!
So my problem is that when I want to print on both sides on my Windows 7 x64 it is suggesting only "Print on both sides (Manually)". But I want it automatically.
The printer types is HP Color LaserJet CP 2025dn. The printer itself is able to do this function, because the other computers in my network which has Windows xp have an option to print on both sides (not manually) automatically.
So I really don't get this, what's the matter? Windows 7? Printer?

Hi Hikeman

This is a printer function rather than Windows. I'd try a driver update and then configure the printer.

You need to configure the printer itself, not Windows 7.

HP Color LaserJet CP2025dn/x Printer - Configuring Auto Duplex/Printing On Both Sides - c01906875 - HP Business Support Center

If you use the instructions in the link for Windows Vista they should work for Windows 7.

If you can't get it to work as you want, you may need to consider whether you want to replace it with one that is fully compatible with Windows 7.

I agree with everyone else but wanted to point out that this is a printer DRIVER issue. If the driver made for W7 does not have that functionality but the drivers for XP or Vista do then someone at HP doofed and left it out.

You could try installing the Vista driver in compatibility mode to test, providing you know the functionality exists in a Vista system.

But keep in mind that if there was some technical issue with W7 and HP's (original) driver that the good folks at HP were not willing to work to overcome, they could have removed that functionality as their (not your) best option.

Be sure to create Restore Points before playing with driver changes.

hey seavixen32, thank you for provided link I fixed the problem, thank you very much. Thnks a lot from everybody.
This is what I did:

With first step I went trough this steps.
Use the printer control panel to print information pages that give details about the product and its current settings.

Press OK to enter the Menu.
Press the Left arrow (< ) or Right arrow (> ) button to navigate to Reports , and then press OK .
Press the Left arrow (< ) or Right arrow (> ) button to navigate to Config report and then press OK to print a report.
Press X to exit the menu.

And with second step, I went trough this steps.

Click Windows icon.
Select Control Panel .
Select Printers .
Right click on the HP CLJCP2025 PCL driver.
Select Properties .
Select Device Settings tab.
In the Installable options section, ensure Duplex unit is Installed and AllowManual Duplexing option is Disabled .
Click Apply and OK . Problem Solved!!!
