You have to measure the distance between two holes.
That tell you the size of the fan.

They can be 6,7,8,9 or 12 cm.

Make sure you measure for example the distance between left upper to right upper hole, or left upper to left lower lower. Not left upper to right lower.

I hope you know what i mean.

Yeah, I considered that option. And surprisingly skipping quad cores and going non-sli with low end video cards seemed like a great option
