Is that like Mac for creative and PC for business? I really hate to be pigeon holed.
It's been my experience... a good 95% of the business PCs I encounter when consulting are Intel based systems, and most uber gamers I know prefer AMD for their rigs.
I use my Intel Quad for both purposes, but I've always been an Intel fan... well ever since a bad experience with an AMD 5x86 CPU in 94! LOL!
1. CPU
AMD these days produce budget CPUs offering decent performance in most applications, Intel CPUs are kept aside to be in the 14K range
A Tri-Core 3.1Ghz AMD Athlon II is chosen
AMD Athlon II X3 445 Rana 3.1GHz Cost: Rs. 2,400
2. Motherboard
The mainboard is a decisive factor, an AM3 Mobo such as the ASUS M4N68T-M V2 AM3 will be selected, and this costs around Rs. 1,600
3. Graphics card
As for the GPU a GT440 would fit perfectly, it’s a level entry card offering a playable gameplay at medium-high settings in most modern games, supports Direct X 11 and OpenGL 4.
The Zotac version is chosen. Reason?
It features a fast 128-Bit GDDR5 1GB memory dubbed at 3.2GHz as compared to other GT440 variants
Cost: Rs. 2,400
4. RAM: 4GB(2x2GB)
Standard DDR3 RAM
Model: Kingston 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 1066MHz
Cost: Rs. 850
5. Hard Disk:
Seagate Barracuda ST31000524AS 1TB 7200 RPM
Cost: Rs. 1,600
6. DVD Burner
ASUS 24X DVD Burner
Cost: Rs 650
7. PSU
Antec BP550 Plus 550W 80 Plus certified
Cost: Rs. 1,900
8. Casing
HEC 63R3BB Black Steel ATX Mid Tower
Cost: Rs. 1,100
9. Mouse and Keyboard
Microsoft Comfort Mouse 3000 S9J-00001
Microsoft Keyboard 400 7YH-00001
Both Costs: Rs. 900
10Additional
2X SATA Data Cables
Cost: Rs. 200
Total Cost: Rs. 13,900

My guess would be that many gamers build their own systems and find the AMD components to be more fitting to their budget. And also, there are just so many more Intels on the market that it is normal to encounter them more frequently. I have both AMD and Intel systems and on an apples to apples comparison I really see no difference in performance - but I am not a gamer. It's been my experience... a good 95% of the business PCs I encounter when consulting are Intel based systems, and most uber gamers I know prefer AMD for their rigs.
Thank you all. Thanks for your help..
Can you please also suggest good Modem upto Rs.2200 and 5.1 speakers also in Rs. 2200.
I am thinking about Creative A520 5.1 Speakers and BELKIN MODEM+ROUTER 150.
And also I am thinking to buy External hard disk instead of buying the SATA hard disk, because External will be more portable. I'd be able to take that away and connect it with any PC.
I have attached the rate-list of my nearest dealer.
Please advise something from it.
Thanks.
