SSD space is disappearing. Troublshooted almost everything already.

I would say it has to be volume shadow copies. You say you have deleted restore points, but have you turned off restore points for the drive?

OK, your screen shot, you show 48GB used, so it seems the issue is you are actually using more space. You say your used Space Sniffer, and it agreed you have 11 GB free space. Did Space sniffer say you had 48GB used space? Suggest you post screen shots as I did, used space, then free space.

If you are indeed using more space, then we need to determine where that space is being used, we can use SS for that. I would suspect your hiberfil.sys. You are saying Treesize and windirstat both show total drive space being used at around 36GB. Yet windows says 48GB, which is your issue as you know. Let's see if SS agrees your used space is 36GB. If so, then we are back to square, but we understand the issue. Sorry for the confusion. A Guy
Here is a screen shot of Space Sniffer, Windirstat, and Treesize file all showing approximately 33-36GB of used disk space. Since my last post, my drive has dropped to 10.7GB of free space, even though these three disk storage programs are static in showing used disk space.

One explanation I got regarding the discrepancy of my properties screen shot and the disk usage programs is that "one is showing theoretical drive space assuming you are using each cluster fully, the other is calculated drive space based on the amount of space that is actually used in each cluster."

Alas, this takes us back to square one... where is my free space disappearing too?

Yes, I've deleted restore points and shadow copies multiple times and it hasn't freed up any space at all. Restore points have also been turned off.

And the screen shot of SS with the free space? Does it add up?

Space Sniffer shows I have total used space of 33.7GB and free space of 10.7GB. Together, it adds up to 44.4GB which is clearly not the same as what "My Computer Properties" shows.

Avast for anti virus. Running a full scan of MalwareBytes right now.

Edit: MalwareBytes just finished a full scan. Nothing came up.
