It isn't so much that one out of four could be bad...it's just that with more chips, you have a much greater chance of having one not handle an overclock too well. Overclocking is far from an exact science. It is basically an exercise in trial and error. You push until something doesn't stay stable, and then you back off.
Yeah I been reading all about Overclocking
That is why i am doing it ! For the life of me i must get knowledge on the subject before just jumping in head first
Alot of things go right passed my head if not told about it ,I know more ram doesn't always add up to be a good thing I trying to work the maximum i can on this board
As pointed out I will get nothing short of what I have now I even overclocked this puppy to 4 ghz stable ,No point in pushing this chip any further anyway
The new selection should be out soon and Im figuring it would handle 16 gigs off a overclock cause it being a new platform thus my query that wil be another thread on OVERCLOCKING 8 core chips and who currently uses one
That's why I like this forum better understanding always helps instead of going blindly into the darkness
