Just a caution you probably already know: these things are not designed to run 24/7, otherwise they'd give you the option to not spin-down. So the drive is likely to run hotter-than-desirable in that enclosure, thereby shortening its life.

You'll want to schedule it so it's only spun-up while you are logged-on or something perhaps.
